The concept of building a model is that a collection of data can be optimized to tell a more comprehensive story by connecting and looking beyond the data points in a defensible manner. Additionally, data that has been collected over a project's lifespan is often too complex to consider in its entirety without an appropriate tool such as a Geologic Framework Model. Our experience in building models has shown that the ability to draw relationships between diverse datasets is fundamental to understanding the complex problems encountered in the subsurface. For example, comparison of geophysical data with hydraulic conductivity data was recently used to delineate confidence boundaries in three dimensions of a soil lithology model. In order to manage and combine specific elements of large datasets, Hazlett-Kincaid has developed a suite of data management tools to assimilate the broad range of environmental and geotechnical data types. |

Data Management One of the most significant problems facing Project Managers is the utility and accessibility of collected field data. Hazlett-Kincaid provides professional organization and accessibility of rich data sets collected over the life of a project. On-demand availability ensures that data will continue to work for PMs after the reporting phase rather than being retired to the archives.
